Rector of the Volga region Academy of sports and tourism Yusup Yakubov met with the team of badminton players of the Academy, which recently won the third consecutive victory in the all - Russian competition among students in Ramenskoye.
In team tournament our badminton players won an unconditional victory, having beaten in the final of students of Gzhel state University (Moscow region) with the score 3:1. In the second part of the tournament the best students-badminton players in the individual competition - in singles, doubles and mixed categories. And here "academicians" also confirmed their leadership. The winners were Alexander Vasilkin and Anastasia Redkina. "Silver" on account of Amir Hamidulin, Alexander Vasilkin, Mikhail Gelashvili, Anastasia Redkina and Ekaterina Kadochnikova. Three bronze medals were won by Alina Romanko, two by Egor Cherkassky, one by Alexandra Semenova, Maria Malygina and Amir Hamidulin.
However, the head coach of the team Igor Nazarov, at the meeting focused the attention of the participants not on the next medals of the wards, but on much more important results:
- It's nice that in a short time we have gathered a good team with high potential. Our reserve and the number and quality, allows you to put on a competitive team tournaments, regardless of the availability of leaders. Here and in Ramenskoye we successfully performed without players of the Russian national team. The main thing, it was succeeded to build system of preparation of athletes. Our results is the promotion of the University. Hence the absence of problems with applicants. Worthy, well-prepared children go to us to study. The system of training built in the University dictates the next step in development. The Academy, according to Nazarov, considering the excellent infrastructure could "collect" all the largest student competitions in badminton, in which could participate all students enrolled in the specialization badminton. The Academy can provide the participants not only with the best conditions (because the University has the only specialized badminton center in the country), but also to solve all organizational issues at the highest level. In particular, to provide refereeing at the expense of internal reserves.
- We have prepared our own team of judges here in may for the Cup of Russia we do not name, - tells Nazarov.
According to the senior lecturer of the Department of theory and methodology of tennis and badminton of the Volga Academy Alfred Shamgullin, the additional value of the current victory is given by the fact that the "academicians" managed to once again beat their traditional rivals, despite the fact that they have significantly strengthened their compositions at the expense of high-class athletes. One more "bonus" to a title of Champions: four students in Ramenskoye executed the standard of the master of sports of Russia. There is another important aspect. Today, about 70 percent of local children study badminton at the Academy-these are the results of the development of the sport in the country. Among them there is the first champion - Amir hamidulin. But, as the rector of the University Yusup Yakubov commented, the ambitions of the Academy have a Federal scale:
- We believe that more of our students should represent other regions. We are a Federal University and should train specialists for the whole country. The example of badminton development demonstrates that when there is support from the University, local sports authorities, facility managers – the sport is developing. Today we are creating and expanding the labor market. If you invest, you need to show the result. Including, and in the form of future coaches…
According to the captain of the Academy team Alexander Vasilkin, it is in this section of his classmates and consider studying at the University:
– For most of us, badminton is not just a subject or a sport that we are currently engaged in. This is an area in which we want to develop in the future. Therefore, I want to thank the University and everyone who is involved in the fact that Tatarstan today is a leader among the regions actively developing badminton.
