The round table devoted to the issues of support of people with disabilities (including intellectual disabilities) was held at the Volga region Academy of sports and tourism and became the final event of the project "sports Express", supported by the grant of Rosmolodezh in 2018. The initiator of its implementation is the Department of adaptive physical culture and life safety. Meeting with colleagues and partners of the project at the round table allowed to summarize the experience and build the trajectory of further movement.
The program of the round table began with a tour of the academic building of the University, and ended with the presentation of a Handbook prepared by the project Manager, head of the Department Larisa Parfenova together with colleagues on the project.
- Today, the Department implements two large grant projects that are relevant, in demand by the society and have great scientific potential, - Larisa Parfenova comments. - One of them - "Sportline" - a project supported by the Presidential grants Fund, the other - "sports Express". Its implementation allowed us to create a volunteer Association "center of mobile pedagogical teams". The Center has great prospects. It is no coincidence that the project has become popular among boarding schools of the Republic. To some extent, it covers the need for special educational institutions in sports and cultural extracurricular activities, which the pupils of these institutions are sorely lacking. Monitoring of the state of physical culture and sports activities of children with disabilities, conducted in the Republic of Tatarstan, showed that only 2.6% of them regularly engaged in physical culture. With some effort, this figure may grow by 10 times by 2020!
Both of our projects were United by the main task-to create, train and equip mobile pedagogical teams, which will now be able to provide in the framework of sports and cultural activities interaction of children with disabilities and their healthy peers, creating an inclusive environment conducive to socialization. More than 450 children, for whom a special complex for the implementation of TRP standards was developed, participated in the activities carried out by us in the framework of the project".
An important point of the project and further work was included in the presentation of associate Professor Larisa Kasnakovo. This is psychological and pedagogical support of sports activities of special children within their individual programs. The positive effect of the tutoring work of students-volunteers was noted by teachers of all schools-participants of the project "sports Express".
– This program is an excellent motivator for our students, - says Oleg Spiridonov, a teacher of physical culture of Kazan school №76 for children with disabilities. – We cooperate with the Volga Academy for the second year, interacting with both teachers and students who come to our practice. They became real friends for the children. These young professionals help children to socialize and join a healthy lifestyle.
- Sport can work wonders! - continues Director of Mamadysh boarding school Mansur Valeev. - We studied a boy from the rural hinterland, from a dysfunctional family. First, by decision of the Commission, he was sent to a class of deep mental retardation. Then Rinat became interested in table tennis, we practice these classes from primary school. In the fourth grade, he went to his first competition, and two years later moved to the regular class. It was difficult for him, but he tried very hard, giving his word to become a drummer by the end of school. Today Rinat is a successful young man, the champion of Russia. He's working, getting married. Sport not only tempered his character, helped to be realized, but also taught to win!
Another example of successful adaptation of the participants of the round table were able to observe with their own eyes. They were invited to a master class on Zumba from the first instructor in Russia with down syndrome. Laysan Zaripova despite fears of doctors have not only survived, learned to walk and talk, but with seven years of dancing. And now also actively promotes the fashionable dance direction, lighting hope in the eyes of her students. Dancing became a guide to another life for her and her students. Sport works wonders!
