Sports results of the year were summed up last week in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. At the award ceremony "sports Kazan" in the Kazan city Hall honored the winners in 11 categories. Among them are graduates and teachers of the Volga Academy of sports.
The title "Athlete of the year in Olympic sports" was won by the graduate of the Academy Svetlana Lipatova, bronze medalist of the European championship-2018 freestyle wrestling. "The best young specialist of the municipal sports school" was coach-teacher of sports school "Dynamo" and a graduate of the Academy, hockey player Arthur Talipov.
In the category "Best children's coach" won Dinara Safina-another graduate, and now a teacher of the Department of gymnastics, coach-teacher of the "Privolzhanka", among the pupils of which there is already a master of sports of international class.
