Students of the Volga region Academy of sports, swimmers Kirill Belyaev and Anna Egorova were among the nominees for the audience award "Apollo of water paths-2018"and" Aphrodite of the water surface - 2018". The competition is held within the VII Annual Award of the all-Russian swimming Federation. The winners will be determined by the results of online voting in the official Vkontakte group of the Federation, which started on December 17 and will end on December 21.
The selection of nominees was carried out, according to the press service of the swimming Federation, according to the results of performances at international competitions in 2018 in personal disciplines.
Fourth-year student of the faculty of service and tourism Kirill Belyaev, in August, won the silver medal of the European championship in water sports in open water swimming at a distance of 25 kilometers.
Second-year student of the faculty of sports Anna Egorova at the European championship became a bronze medalist at a distance of 800 meters, and 400-meter finished fourth, updating the record of Russia. At the recent championship of Russia on short water, held at the Palace of water sports, Egorova won both these distances.
