The Volga region Academy of sports has traditionally been represented at the "student sports Stars" ball held in Moscow in the concert hall "Russia". This year, at the annual final event of the Russian sports student Union, the honor to represent the Academy fell: two-time world champion in u-Shu, freshman Kamila Imangulova, champion of the VI all-Russian summer Universiade 2018, 4th year student of the track and field athlete Raisia Ivanova, chess player Olga Belova, who became the main student summer starts silver medalist, as well as the owner of three gold medals of the Russian Cup in para-badminton Pavel Kulikov, judo Daria Denisova, captain of the basketball Team Olesya Nikolenko and football player Andrey Egorov.
The delegation of the University – winner of the award in the nomination "Education and sport-2017" was headed by Vice - rector for administrative work and social development Ilshat Fayzullin and head of the Department for sports work Alexander Chernyaev. This year, the festive event, in addition to the new year was also of an anniversary nature. Rsss celebrated its 25th anniversary. The Secretary of the presidential Council for the development of physical culture and sports Alexey Kulakovsky read out an address of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the representatives of 62 universities gathered in the hall. Among the guests were President of the international student sports Federation (FISU) Oleg Matytsin, Deputy Minister of sports Igor Sidorkevich, President of the RCC Sergey Seyranov, head of the Department of sports of Moscow Nikolai Gulyaev and others.
 It was very cool - he added his impressions a student of the Academy?? Ivanov.  A beautiful hall, an interesting program. Everyone around is very elegant. For me, the invitation to the ball was very unexpected, but I managed to buy a dress (laughs). I believe that such events are very necessary. Although many of us during the season are at different starts for the national teams of Russia and the regions, but to protect the colors of universities, which also study very honorably and responsibly.
