Today Russia celebrates the 100th anniversary of the all-Union Lenin Communist youth Union (Komsomol). "BUSINESS Online" presented a commemorative a rating of 40 the most well-known Tatarstan Komsomol leaders of the 80-ies. Among them, according to the portal, was the rector of the Volga Academy of sports Yusup Yakubov. Here are excerpts from the material.
"...Yusup Yakubov headed the Komsomol organization of the KAMAZ repair and tool plant as soon as he returned from the army in 1985. Two years later he moved to Naberezhnye Chelny city Committee of the Komsomol first, second, then first Secretary. In fact, he was the last leader of the Komsomol of the Autograd. After him a short time the organization was headed by one of the former KAMAZ Komsomol members, but he remained almost unnoticed, as the hill was already in the process of liquidation. After the death of the Komsomol Yakubov remained to work in the Executive Committee as the Deputy mayor of Rafgat Altynbayev to work with youth and headed the Foundation "Law and order", to which flocked the contributions of the enterprises to fight the criminalization of the young generation.
Yakubov preferred political and administrative career. After working in the mayor's office in 2000, he was elected to the state Council for one convocation, where four years later he moved to the Ministry of youth first Deputy Minister. By 2010, he defended his thesis and for the last eight years he has headed the Volga state Academy of physical culture, sports and tourism, which, incidentally, has increased its status from Kama to Volga simultaneously with the election of the current rector.
The renaming of the Academy was the reason for the concept of the Universiade 2013 heritage, and the strategic plans that were entrusted to Yakubov, took place. Immediately after the Universiade, Yakubov received at the disposal of the Academy a brand new educational and laboratory complex, a rowing canal, the Palace of water sports and several other sports facilities. As a result, the rowing Federation began to carry athletes of the Russian national team to Tatarstan, and the athletics Federation brought Kenyans, offering them places in the Yakubov Academy and Russian citizenship. Having developed on the updated material and technical base, the Academy now consistently wins the Spartakiad of Tatarstan universities, ahead of the traditional leader-KFU,"
