The football team of the Volga region Academy of sports reached the final of all-Russian competitions among universities, becoming the winner of the home semi-final stage.
Matches of the tournament were held at one of the facilities of the Academy – stadium sports complex "Burevestnik". The teams of Ivanovo state energy University, Perm national research University and Udmurt state University became the rivals of the "Academy of sports" in the struggle for the final part of the competition.
In the first match of the tournament "academics" with a modest score of 1:0 defeated students from Ivanovo. The winning goal on the account of Vladislav Kudryashov. The next day, the hosts of the tournament defeated the national team of the Perm state University (4:0). In this meeting Kudryashov continued the scoring streak, making a double in the first half. After the break, Anatoly Saveliev also scored twice and brought the score to a crushing.
In the final match of the "sports Academy" confidently defeated his main rival in the fight for a place in the final team of the Udmurt state University with the score 2:0. And again, part of our team scored Vladislav Kudryashov, who opened the scoring on 7 minutes, and 13 scored twice. He eventually became the top scorer of the tournament.
Holders of tickets to the final congratulated on the awarding ceremony, the rector of the Volga sports Academy Yusup Yakubov, the first turning to the rest of the participants of the tournament: "I wish you success and thank you for your game, but in every competition there is a winner and we are very pleased that our students. I thank them for a beautiful game. And those who have long played, and our new students. You fought desperately and won in a fair fight! I wish you, as participants of the all-Russian final, a successful performance, we hope for you and wish you victory!".
The final stage of the competition starts on November 10 in Krymsk. The teams of NSU will become rivals of the Volga region Academy for the first trophy of the season. Lesgaft (St. Petersburg), Sibgufk (Omsk) and SFU (Rostov-on-don).
