The international summer school of sports management and sports Economics, organized by the Kazan University together with the University, continues its work in the Volga region Academy. Friedrich Schiller (Jena, Germany).
Professor Frank Daumann, head of the Department of sports Economics and health Economics at Jena University, spoke to the audience for four days. Topics of his lectures: the sports market, the definition of demand, the economic characteristics of the sports League, the problems of production in teams, the economy of doping and others. On Wednesday, August 15, the lecture program of the day was completed by the founder of the project "Timerman" Vadim Yangirov, who told about the organization of the"Kazan marathon".
The participants of the school continue to get acquainted with the city and the main sports facilities of Kazan, many of which are part of the Volga region Academy. Students have already visited the ice complex "Zilant", "Gymnastics сenter", "Kazan tennis academy", "Badminton center", sports complex "Burevestnik". Ahead of the tour to the "Tatneft arena", "Kazan arena", the evening of German culture, the program of which includes visits to the Lutheran Church and the German house of Tatarstan. In addition, the project participants will visit the bright large – scale show-air races Red Bull Air Race as spectators.
But, of course, not the opportunity to observe the "steep turns" of air aces, is the main privilege of the students of the school. They came to Kazan for knowledge and, judging by their comments, delighted with what is happening. Here is the Italian Andrea Vaccaro, who holds senior positions in the Italian Golf Federation and the national Olympic Committee shares his impressions exclusively in excellent colors:
- I like everything very much. Kazan is a beautiful modern city, the Volga region Academy and its facilities are impressive, the organization of the school is at a high level. And of course, the information that I am receiving here is extremely useful, and it will be useful to me in my work in the Olympic Committee.
Andrea, by the way, lives in Parma and I am very pleased that the football club of the same name, famous once in Europe, then emerging from bankruptcy and stagnation in the lower leagues, finally got back into the series A.
"You could say I'm a fan of this club," says Vaccaro.
As they say, what Italian does not like football. Even if he is a professional golfer. Professor Daumann in his lectures, by the way, uses mainly football examples to illustrate the theoretical material. And the practical task for the students was also on the football theme: to prepare a presentation, in which, highlighting the main problems of the organization and development of the us football League (MLS), students had to offer ways to solve them. Andrea Vaccaro, coped with the task perfectly, taking advantage of his knowledge about the state of Affairs in the Italian elite series A.
However, Frank Daumann was satisfied with the quality of all presentations. In particular, according to the lecturer, the participants of the school quite justifiably proposed to cancel the salary ceiling in MLS. Professor Daumann especially noted that the students, having coped with the substantive part of the task, in a short time were able to make their presentations well.
