Ravil Esipovich what the features of the current admissions process?
- First of all, the fact that we have significantly increased the number of budget places. In our reserve this year 772 of the budget. This is almost a quarter more than last year. Another feature: we open a correspondence form of education in the master's degree. In addition, increased admission to such areas of training as sports management, adaptive physical education, physical education. This year we expect to receive more applicants from among people with disabilities to our University. We prepared for this, created additional conditions, strengthened the team with sign language specialists, purchased the necessary equipment for the hard of hearing and visually impaired, so that they could write test tasks.
- In addition to increasing the budget places what else explains the increase in the number of those wishing to enter the Volga Academy?
- During the previous year we have been working with the municipalities of the Republic, met with graduates of specialized sports schools and other educational institutions. We actively contacted with sports federations of Tatarstan and Russia, held more than 250 career guidance events. Olympics, competitions in sports, open days, including on-line. All this gave its results. According to preliminary data, among our potential students this year are representatives of all municipal districts of the Republic, many of those who are going to come to study from other regions of Russia and even from abroad.
- Did the increase in the number of applicants cause any changes?
- Yeah. This year we will conduct tests on General physical training at the faculties. One day for students of the faculty of physical culture, the other-the faculty of sports, not to stretch this process. According to the selected sports entrants, as before, the exam will be taken in one day at all sports facilities of the University, except the Palace of water sports. All our objects are ready for exams. In addition to the members of the commissions, our students-volunteers will work there. We try to create the most comfortable conditions for students at stadiums and sports grounds.
- Will the competition be high?
- The competition is increasing every year. On average, now it is 2 people per place. At the faculty of service and tourism, it is expected more. The number of budget places is minimal there. This year, judging by the phone calls and communication in social networks, it will grow at the faculty of sports for those who choose training in their favorite sport. Here the main stumbling block is the exam in biology, which is extremely difficult for current athletes to pass without special training. There are a lot of calls from other regions. And applicants themselves, the coaches and parents talk very subject, asking point questions, because I want to do it to us. On the eve of admission we have an up-to-date database of potential applicants. To date, it is about one and a half thousand names.
- Among them are famous athletes?
- Yes, there are highly qualified athletes among the applicants. According to the lists we have more than 100 masters of sports, master candidates, members of national teams. It is expected starship troopers synchronized swimming - all masters of sport, members of the national team of Tatarstan. Hockey players and high-class players will be admitted.
