Two gold medals were won by students of the Volga region Academy Igor Tsaregorodtsev and Anna Galimova at the championship of the Volga Federal district in Boxing among juniors at the age of 19-22 which took place at the beginning of June in Naberezhnye Chelny.
First-year student of the faculty of sports Igor Tsaregorodtsev performs in the weight category up to 49 kilograms, third-year student Anna Galimova-up to 75 kilograms. Both" academicians " were awarded a victory in the finals by unanimous decision of the judges (5:0). Tsaregorodtsev defeated Anton Chernyshev from Izhevsk, Galimova - Margarita Emelevo from Bashkortostan. Both athletes at the end of the championship received the right to participate in the finals of the IV summer youth Games in Russia. In addition, Tsaregorodtsev was recognized as the best boxer of the tournament.
