Holders of the diploma of the winner of the 3rd degree of the XI international Olympiad in the field of information technology "IT-planet 2017/18" (world-it-planet.org), one of the most large-scale competitions in the field of it established in Russia, were students of the faculty of service and tourism of the Volga region Academy Zalia Gabdrakhmanova and Alina Efremova.
In the qualifying tests of the Olympiad took part 20,000 students and graduates of colleges and universities of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Ukraine. To get to the final, the participants of the competition had to demonstrate a high level of information technology during the academic year, performing various theoretical and practical tasks developed by employers.  
The final of the Olympiad was held from 1 to 4 June in Tyumen. It was co-organized by the Tyumen region and the Tyumen industrial University. The event was supported by the leading companies of the region Zapsibcombank and SIBUR. The Olympiad "IT-planet 2017/18" was held with the use of the grant of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society provided by the presidential grant Fund. The event was held with the support of ANO "Agency for strategic initiatives to promote new projects" (ASI) in the direction of "Young professionals". The founders of the competition and sponsors of the competition were Russian and international it market leaders-1C, Huawei, Oracle, GNU/Linux Center and SKB Kontur. More than 350 outstanding students and young specialists in the field of ICT were invited to participate in the final. 
The participants of the final competition solved practical tasks and defended their works in 16 competitions, United in the category "Programming", "Cloud computing and databases", "Telecom", "Mobile platforms", "Digital creativity", "Free SOFTWARE and robotics" and "Unlimited opportunities". The last nomination, aimed at finding solutions that improve the lives of people with disabilities, was first held this year, but immediately proved its relevance and relevance.
Just in the framework of the nomination "Unlimited opportunities" and took part in the Olympics with their projects students of the Volga region Academy. According to the Dean of the faculty of service and tourism Rezeda Hadiullina, our University presented two projects to the Olympics – to participate in the competitions "Comfortable environment" and "Accessible environment" - aimed at improving the lives of people with disabilities, declaring them to participate in three competitions.
- The first project "Multifunctional cane for visually impaired and blind students", - says Rezeda Renatovna, scientific Director of both works. - We put forward the idea of creating a device that would help to create an accessible and comfortable environment for blind and visually impaired citizens.  And the inclusion of an educational module in our development will raise inclusive education to a new level. The main idea of the second project "Information technology to optimize the work of the hotel with hearing impaired guests" is to create and use in the hotel industry multifunctional tablets that will neutralize the difference in opportunities due to the physical condition of hearing impaired citizens, which will contribute to the optimization of the hotel. This tablet will help to get the necessary information and Express the wishes of the hearing impaired hotel customers.
It is worth noting, from the universities of Tatarstan presented to the jury their projects 1111 people in the finals of all seven. Among them, Thalia Alina Gabdrakhmanova and Ephraim. Together with them in the "Comfortable environment" and "Accessible environment" in the finale was attended by 74 author's projects. Both projects took the third place in the qualifying, correspondence stage, and in the final on the totality of points the team of the Volga region Academy became the owner of the diploma of the winner of the 3rd degree.
"It is a great success for us," says Rezeda Hadiullina. - Because we had to compete with the leading technical universities of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Ukraine. We participate in this competition for the third year, and only this time we managed to get to the final by the results of the qualifying rounds. And not just to go to the final, but to become the owners of three "bronze" medals and three diplomas.
In the future, we want to implement these projects, and this is the work of the whole team, including programmers. But we are especially motivated to continue the work by the fact that the jury assessed our projects potential users of our devices-representatives of the communities of people with hearing, vision, patients with cerebral palsy, etc.
