The team of "academicians" successfully performed in three nominations of the traditional annual Festival of universities of physical culture of Russia. This year 13 teams from 13 higher educational institutions of sports profile competed at the festival.
In the hit parade, whose theme this year was the upcoming world Cup, our team (performing in this part: Dmitry Selkov, Victoria Schmidt, Irina Yashina, Ekaterina Platoshkin, Maria Safonova, Sergey Shaikhutdinov, Aidar Nizamiev, Evgeny and Anastasia Menshikov Halina) took fifth place. Coach "academics", Professor of theory and methods of gymnastics and wrestling Love bots so appreciated the performance of students:
                -I am very happy with the hit parade, to be among the top five is a worthy result. The level of teams-winners is professional and compete on equal terms with Volgograd, Kuban (Kuban state University of physical culture and sports), where there are departments of choreography and directing is very difficult. But this year we have approached Siberia (Omsk gufk –multiple winner in this category) and even upset that we were not able to bypass them.
In the competition "Olympic heritage" (test competition for knowledge of sports) "academicians" took fourth place, which is also, according to Bot, not bad.
But the speech of the student of the faculty of physical culture Anastasia Khalina in the competition of scientific reports "scientific creativity of youth" can be called a breakthrough. The report of Anastasia, prepared under the leadership of the head of the Department of adaptive physical culture and life safety Larisa Parfenova, was recognized as the best. The performance of the student for the first time brought the Volga region Academy "field" victory in this category (dilara Bashirova won the "scientific competition" at the home festival). The work of khalina, a student of the AFC training direction, is devoted to the organization of the festival for persons with intellectual disabilities, in order to prepare them for the implementation of TRP standards.

 The author of the winning report also shared her impressions of the trip to Smolensk:
- I prepared this report especially for the festival, but in the future, on the advice of my supervisor Larisa Parfyonova, I want to use it in writing the course. The report is called "Festival "Sportline" as a form of engaging children with mental disabilities to participate in the TRP". The name combines the word "sport", the abbreviation LIN – people with intellectual disabilities – and the pronoun"I". The report is based on my research of the functional state of children and the qualities that they need to develop. As a result, we decided to organize a festival that will help to attract children to sports. In addition to the festival, the project involves conducting off-site workshops. We have already gathered a team of unified football, which will represent Russia at the tournament in Chicago ... to Perform at the festival with the report, of course, it was an exciting thing. After my story, there were many difficult questions. I think because the topic was interesting. I saw that the jury – people who were very competent-showed a sincere interest in what they heard. They not only asked, but also gave advice.
In General, I liked the festival very much. Amazing atmosphere, a lot of positive emotions from communicating with interesting people, leaders in spirit. After all, all universities send their best representatives to the festival.
Unfortunately, the updated composition of the sports team of the Academy could not this time compete with other participants of the festival. In the end, the Academy rounded out the top five.
