An excursion to the Temple of All Religions was organised for foreign students of preparatory courses ‘Russian as a Foreign Language’ at Povolzhsky University.

A total of 25 people took part in it. These were university students who came to Kazan from Madagascar, Mali, Tunisia, India, Colombia, Angola, Syria, Iran, Indonesia and Ecuador.

The Temple of All Religions, located in the village of Staroye Arakchino, is a unique architectural structure that combines elements of various religious traditions. This object attracts the attention of many tourists by its unusualness and beauty. That is why it was decided to organise an excursion for foreign students of preparatory courses.

The excursion began with the story that the Temple of All Religions was built in 1994 on the initiative of artist Ildar Khanov. He wanted to create a place where people could communicate with each other regardless of their religious beliefs. The result was an amazing building combining elements of Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and other religions.

During the tour, students learnt many interesting things about each of the religions represented in the temple. They visited an Orthodox chapel, a mosque, a Buddhist stupa, and other rooms.

In addition, the students were able to see paintings and sculptures reflecting different religious traditions.

They noted that they gained a lot of new knowledge about different religions and cultures and enjoyed the beautiful views and atmosphere of the temple.
