The medical and sanitary unit of the Volga Region University Research Institute has been examining athletes from the United Arab Emirates for the second year. This year, three groups of athletes with hearing impairments took part in the examination - mini-football and swimming, as well as a women's volleyball team.
Testing includes blood tests, body composition studies, and electrocardiography at rest and after exercise. Based on the results of the examination, the sports doctor makes recommendations for correcting the training process, weight and nutrition. Such research will help maintain health and increase the effect of educational and sports camps.
According to the program of the Kazan International Institute for Cooperation with the Countries of Africa and the Middle East, foreign athletes can not only conduct sports training camps in Kazan, but also undergo an examination at the medical and sanitary department of the Volga Region University Research Institute.
"Visiting Kazan for the first time - the city is beautiful and calm and the weather is great for training. The medical examination is at the right time, which is important for the training plan. We came not only for the check-up, but also for the sports training camp - we train at the Rowing Sports Centre of Volga University and at the sports complex for people with disabilities," shared Ahmed Salem, a representative of the mini-football team from the United Arab Emirates.
