On 3 August, the "Home Away From Home" on the territory of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital was visited by those who stood at the origins of the "Home" - Hamzat Khasbulatov, Rafis Burganov, Rashid Faskhutdinov, Zufar Ganeyev, Fuat Rafinov, Alexey Filippenko, and Nadezhda Pogulyai.

The guests congratulated the Family House on its 10th anniversary and once again recalled how one of the biggest projects of the Family Together Charitable Foundation started.

"I remember what an important event the opening of this wonderful 'House' was. At that time we only imagined it, but now we already see its importance and value for the families living here," emphasised Khamzat Khasbulatov, founder of the charity fund.

"When you get here, you immediately feel a different atmosphere - there are no white coats here. Undoubtedly, the work of doctors and all medical personnel is a great contribution to the recovery process of a child, but we want to go through this journey with the least stress for our beloved baby. And "Home away from home" helps in this, giving families the opportunity to feel this warm, homely atmosphere", - shared her emotions Yulia Altyngaraeva, a mother, who together with her son went through the path of treatment.

"Rafis Burganov, Rector of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: "This is a unique project, and everyone who becomes part of its history in one way or another is doing a great thing.

The Family House in Kazan houses families whose children are undergoing long-term treatment at the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital. They are mostly young patients of the oncohaematology department. But the newly opened oncology centre, which was described by Nadezhda Pogulyai, deputy chief physician of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, made it possible for the House to receive children treated in other departments of the hospital.

The guests of the "Home" got acquainted with mums and dads living in the "Home Away from Home". Parents shared their stories and noted how important it is for the Family Home to have been supported for 10 years.

"This is truly a unique and important project. I would like to express my gratitude to Julia, the director of the Home, and all the managers for their labour and wish only to increase the successes achieved. And to parents - strength and speedy recovery of your children. Of course, you feel at home here, but I wish to stay here as few days as possible and return home as soon as possible", - wished Khamzat Khasbulatov.

The guests also had time to discuss the upcoming XIII Charity Golf Tournament for the Rais Cup of the Republic of Tatarstan, of which "Home Away From Home" has traditionally become a social partner.

"We can say that it was you, Hamzat Khamidovich, who started our participation in this project. We would like to see you among the guests of the golf tournament again this year", - said the head of "Home" Yulia Markova.
