Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov awarded the senior lecturer of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Football and Hockey of the Volga Region University Anna Romanova the honorary title of Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
‘My work in sports started when I was sixteen years old - I was an active athlete and figure skating instructor. Then I worked as a physical education teacher at school, and later, when more ice palaces were built in the republic, I became a coach,’ said Anna Romanova. - During 30 years of coaching I worked with different athletes - with the national team of the Republic of Tatarstan and with juniors from the Russian national team. Figure skaters under my guidance won the Special Olympics. For the last five years I have been teaching at the Department of Football and Hockey - I share my experience with future coaches and organise unclassified figure skating competitions for students. What inspires me in my work is the desire to help and educate future coaches. It's nice to see the enthusiasm of the students.
