Viktor Demidov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines, celebrates his 80th birthday today, 13 October.

Born in the village of Turnaevo in Bolotninsky district of Novosibirsk region, he started his education in the Lithuanian SSR, where he finished primary school. He finished his seven-year school in Kirov region, and secondary school - already in the Kazakh SSR. There, in the Kazakh SSR he received higher education - in 1971 he got a diploma of the medical faculty of Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute.

He began his labour activity at the age of 17 - worked as a teacher of chemistry, biology and history in Stalin eight-year school of Kuibyshev district of Pavlodar region. 
From 1962 to 1966 he served in the Navy on the destroyer "Persistent". 
Until 1993 Victor Demidov worked in Semipalatinsk, first at the Department of Normal Physiology of Semipalatinsk Medical Institute, then - in Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute named after Nadezhda Krupskaya. Nadezhda Krupskaya. Here he worked as the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Science and Physical Education.

In the following eight years he worked as pro-rector for academic work at Solikamsk Pedagogical Institute and Vyatka Pedagogical University in Kirov.

In 2001, at the invitation of Abdulakhat Chinkin, Rector of the Kama State Institute of Physical Culture, Victor Demidov moved to Naberezhnye Chelny, where he continued his career as Vice-Rector for Research. 
In 2005, he moved to the position of Vice-Rector for Academic Work at the Volga Region Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.

From 2013 to 2020 he was an Advisor to the Rectorate of the university. Today he continues his labour activity as a professor of the Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines.
