The final Open Day before the 2026 admissions campaign begins is just around the corner – students can visit the Volga Region University of Physical Education, Sports, and Tourism on March 15.
The university trains future specialists in sports, physical education, adaptive physical education, information technology, service, and tourism. Education is available at various levels: secondary vocational education, undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs.
As usual, staff and student volunteers will give guests a tour and introduce them to the Volga Region University's infrastructure, including the main building – an academic and laboratory facility housing over four thousand students – and the dormitory in the Universiade Village. Applicants will also be introduced to the vibrant student life of the university's activists, with student associations offering opportunities for everyone to engage in activities ranging from sports, media, creative arts, tourism, and much more.
During the official Open Day, Rector Rafis Burganov and university staff will present the university and its sports facilities, as well as explain all admissions requirements.
Following this, applicants will have the opportunity to personally meet with the heads of institutes, colleges, and departments to learn more about the academic programs and career prospects of their future major. They will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the Admissions Committee and learn about the admissions rules for the 2026/2027 academic year.
