The Day of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in Moscow at the VDNKh within the framework of the international exhibition "Russia". The Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism was not left out of the significant event for the republic - the university staff visited the event, visited the exposition of Tatarstan and took part in the activities of the large-scale event.
All Russia, all the potential of our country, the specifics of all regions are represented at VDNKh in one place. The unique format of the forum was launched by the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Each region has created an exposition where it presents its traditions, innovations and achievements. And the regional days allow to reveal the value and potential of each subject of our country for a wide audience. Bright interactive expositions, exciting events and national cuisine are what can be seen and tasted during a visit to the amazing Russia exhibition.
On the Day of Tatarstan at the exhibition-forum, everyone was able to learn more about the republic's achievements in five pavilions of VDNKh. Various activities awaited visitors: they could take a virtual tour of Bolgar, Sviyazhsk and Kazan, ride a bicycle along the Kazanka embankment and taste national cuisine.
Tatar Kysh Babai organised a parade and holiday for children - surrounded by a whole line of Snow Maidens beating the rhythm on drums, Tatar Father Frost drove down the street and sent greetings from Kazan to the guests of the event.
The largest samovar in the world was brought from Tatarstan to the Russia International Forum-Exhibition. The samovar was created by the Tsar Samovar trade mark in Tula. Its height is 2 metres 30 cm, the record was registered in August 2020.
The guests of the capital also clearly demonstrated the traditions of the Tatar people: played a real wedding and held the custom "Kaz Omase".
It is worth noting that the Exhibition-Forum "Russia" opened on 4 November at the VDNKh and will continue until 12 April. Here will demonstrate the achievements of 89 regions of Russia, major companies, ministries and organisations.
