Rector of Volga Region University Rafis Burganov met with young student families. The informal talk, timed to coincide with the Year of the Family, brought together not only young spouses, but also the university administration at one table - the guests were Vice-Rector for Administration and Social Development Natalia Grechannikova, directors of institutes Robert Bikmukhametov, Iskander Galeev and Sergey Druzhkov, Yulia Tokranova, Head of the Centre for Social and Psychological Monitoring of Deviations, Diana Galliamova, Acting Head of the Social and Educational Work Department, Azalia Abzalova, Head of the Personnel Department, and Lenar Galiev, Chairman of the Student Council.
"Young families should see that they are important, that they are ready to be helped. Previously, students with children were not treated very well and it was believed that at the university it was better to hide it, not to put it on display. But now we understand that children are not a burden, but our future. You can study and build a career with children, especially if there is support, including from the university," said Rafis Burganov. "It is important not only to learn about the life of young families, but also to understand what problems they face - that is why today we have representatives of different structural divisions with us."
Over a cup of tea, students talked about how they combine family life with their studies and work. Victoria and Saidaziz Sattorov came to the meeting with their son Emir and shared the story of their acquaintance, Ellina Kadyrova and Vitaly Shifman talked about their upcoming wedding ceremony, Sofia Vorobyeva shared how her spouse's service in the special military operation zone is going, and Alexey Vakhrushev told about his sporting path in acrobatic rock ‘n’ roll and the success of his wife, Ksenia Koshkina, in athletics.
"We came to the Volga Region University from Kazakhstan and have never regretted it. We had a fun block in the family dormitory - we became friends with other couples during the move. Now we are trying to create a cozy atmosphere together and will be glad to see Rafis Timerkhanovich on a return visit," Ellina Kadyrova shared.
