The building of the Tennis Academy of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism was inspected today by Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, and Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of Tatarstan. The main purpose of the visit was to assess the readiness of the facility to hold competitions within the framework of the international multi-sport tournament in the concept of fijital "Games of the Future".
Representatives of the Kazan Tennis Academy management spoke about the roadmap of the facility and its characteristics.
Since 2011 the Tennis Academy is a structural subdivision of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. On the basis of the Tennis Academy sports competitions, including international ones, have been held many times.
In 2023 test events of the Games of the Future were held here - international games "Fijital Live" (in the format of the "Games of the Future") in the discipline of "fijital football", as well as in such disciplines as fijital tactical combat.
As part of the multisport tournament "Games of the Future" from 20 February to 3 March 2024 in Kazan Tennis Academy will be held competitions in the following disciplines: fijital tactical combat (Standoff 2 + laser tag); fijital tactical combat (Warface + laser tag); fijital tactical combat (CS2 + laser tag).
Deputy Minister of Sport of Russia Azat Kadyrov, Minister of Sport of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov and other officials took part in the visit to the Kazan Tennis Academy.
