“It’s in our family” is an open family competition that unites and brings generations together. Its launch was first announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the open lesson “Talking about Important Things.”
The competition has become a “bridge” between generations and an opportunity to learn better about family history.
Family teams of four or more relatives representing three generations: children, parents, and grandparents could take part. Among the participants was the Lukin family, in which father, Vasily Lukin, is a graduate student at Volga University, and his daughter, Liliana, is a college student.
We learnt about the competition through the portal of public services and, after consultation, decided to participate," says Liliana. - After filling in the application form, we were faced with the tasks of the remote stage: we had to prove ourselves in various thematic areas: "knowledge", "sport", "creativity", "good", "family", "service to the Fatherland", as well as to tell about the history of the family and its achievements. At the end of the stage, a rating was formed, which determined the semi-finalists.
In total, more than 100 thousand families from all over the country took part. In the Far Eastern Federal District, five thousand families took part, and 70 families were selected for the semi-finals. The Sakha Republic was represented by six family teams, including ours. In the semi-finals, we also performed intellectual, creative, sporting and logical tasks. Unfortunately, we did not make it to the finals, but we won in the "Cohesion" category. And indeed - during the competition we became very close, learnt a lot about each other, identified weaknesses and strengths. It was a memorable experience, which the whole family enjoyed".
