Final year students from Leninogorsk Lyceum No. 12 visited the Volga Region University. The children came to Kazan to visit major city universities and choose their future place of study.

Robert Bikmukhametov, Director of the Institute of Sports, and Olga Lyubyagina, Acting Head of the Department of Information Systems and Fijital Sports, told the students about the procedure of admission to the university, the disciplines taught and introduced them to the history of the university.

Lenar Galiev, head of the student council, and Vladimir Gorshkov, head of the volunteer club, gave the guests a tour of the university's teaching and laboratory building. The children visited the information and resource centre, concert and sports halls. The schoolchildren were particularly interested in the cyber sports hall and media centre.

Among the guests there were professional athletes who are going to enrol in the Volga Region University after school.

‘I liked the university - the building is modern, there are a lot of opportunities for students. I have been boxing since childhood and I want to link my future profession with great sport, so I plan to enter the Volga Region University next year,’ Taras Markov shared.
