The management of the Islamic Azad University (Iran) proposed to sign an agreement on co-operation with the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. This was announced by the university's vice-rector Farzad Jahanbin during his visit to the Volga State University today - the Iranian delegation visited the sports university of Tatarstan. The delegation also includes Mehran Salvati, Director General of Student Affairs of the Islamic University, Amir Abbas Lashkari, head of the university's sports centre, Davoud Mirzakhani, Consul General of Iran in Kazan, and Hosayni Mansour, Consul General of Iran.

Andrey Nazarenko, Vice-Rector for Research and International Activities of the Volga Region University, introduced the guests to the Volga Region University's facilities: they were shown the educational, cultural, training, scientific and sports halls. The guests visited the Universiade Museum and learnt about the digital technologies of the sports university. 

The guests were particularly interested in the Research Institute of Physical Culture and Sport. It is worth noting that the Institute includes 7 laboratories, medical and rehabilitation block and medical and sanitary unit, which provides scientific and methodological and medical and biological support of training and rehabilitation process of athletes, in-depth and current medical examination, therapeutic, preventive and rehabilitative measures, analytical research for sports teams.
