The readiness of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism for the new academic year, including the readiness of the material and technical base of the university was discussed at the meeting of the Academic Council the day before. Rinat Khusnutdinov, Vice-Rector for Economic Activities, made the main report.
In his report, he said that as part of the implementation of measures to prepare for the new academic year at all facilities of the university annually carried out work on the repair of internal premises, repair of outdoor sports grounds, measures for the maintenance and improvement of adjacent areas, the purchase of equipment and inventory.
‘Annual planned activities to create the necessary and safe conditions, all engineering and technical systems and communications in preparation for the autumn-winter period have been carried out.
To date, work is underway to conduct operational tests of electrical installations of buildings at all university facilities. Household goods, sports equipment, furniture, office supplies and paper necessary for educational and working processes have been purchased,’ the vice-rector instructed.
Also during the meeting, the participants heard a report on the activities of the Federal Rowing Sports and Training Centre. Director of the sports facility Andrey Feoktistov told about the work done over the year.
Elections of the Head of the Department of Adaptive Physical Education and Life Safety were held, as well as election by competition to fill the positions of teaching staff belonging to the teaching staff.
Traditionally, departmental awards were presented. In particular, the jubilee medal dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the state governing body in the field of physical culture and sports was received from the hands of the rector of the university Rafis Burganov by the chief accountant - head of the accounting and financial control department of the university Gulgena Mukhamedkarimova, director of the Federal Sports and Training Center for Gymnastics Natalya Alkaeva, director of the educational and sports complex "Ice Palace "Zilant" Anatoly Zindeev, head of the department for sports work Alexander Mironov, director of the Institute of Additional Education Elvira Rumyantseva, head of the center for sports training of student teams Gulfiya Gabdulkhaerova, head of the department for organizing the admission of applicants Danir Islyamov.
