The bronze medal at the Russian background walking championship - the All-Russian project "Man Walking" - was taken by the team from the Volga Region University.
During the main stage of the competition, 22 representatives of the university, led by the constant captain Kristina Nizamutdinova, head of the real estate management department, took more than 14 million steps.
The team of the University of Sports and Tourism, and previously the Volga Academy, has been participating in this championship since the first year of its holding. In 2023, 416 teams from higher educational institutions in the country took part in the competition.
“It was not easy, this “bronze” is akin to “gold,” admits Kristina Nizamutdinova. — When everything was over, I sent the following message to the team: My dears! Your hard work and patience inspires my sincere admiration! Each of you did more than you planned, and even more than you expected from yourself! This is very cool! Be proud of yourself, friends, it’s well deserved!”
The victory, or there is no other way to describe this achievement, was not easy.
