From May 20 to December 15, the All-Russian competition "1418 Words about the Hero" will be held, dedicated to the feat of compatriots in the Great Patriotic War, armed and local conflicts, as well as a special military operation. The organizer of the competition is the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. Students of higher education institutions, regardless of departmental affiliation, are invited to participate in the competition. Participants are invited to write a short prose essay of free composition in several nominations: "Dynasties of Defenders of the Fatherland" (about the relationship between military generations of families), "Heroes of the Past" (about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, armed and local conflicts), "Heroes of Our Time" (about the exploits of Russian servicemen during a special military operation), "Heroes at the Next Desk" (about a fellow student who went to carry out tasks of a special military operation during his studies at a university), "Heroes of the Home Front" (about citizens who voluntarily provide assistance to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation today.
