Entrance examinations in general physical fitness for applicants to the Volga Region University College in the areas of physical education and adaptive physical education were held on August 14 at the Burevestnik stadium. Future students competed in a hundred-meter run, stretching, long jump, abdominal exercises, push-ups and pull-ups.

‘I live in Kazan and for a long time I wanted to enter the college of the Volga Region University. I like to compete and win, so the entrance tests left positive impressions. I am a CMC in figure skating and I want to develop in this sport - I also plan to enter the university in the future,’ said Elina Abdulina.

Every year the popularity of the Volga Region University College grows - more and more applicants want to study here and then get higher education. The year 2024 shows record numbers - more than 570 people submitted over 1,300 applications to the Volga University College. 

"General physical training is the basis! I was preparing for the standards - the exam went well. The most vivid impression after running - I liked the feeling of speed, and the most difficult were push-ups. I have been doing synchronized swimming for many years and became a master of sports, so I always wanted to study in Povolzhsky. My plans are to first study at college, and then get a higher education related to synchronized swimming," shared applicant Azalia Akhtyamova.
