The Volga Region University of Sports received a “gold” certificate of conformity as an educational organization under the FISU Healthy Campus program. This year, the university confirmed 81 criteria and became the only sports university in Russia to receive recognition according to international classifications.
The Volga Region University of Sports has been participating in this program for several years. In 2021, the university was awarded a “bronze” certificate, and already in 2022 it became the owner of the silver level Healthy Campus. The next goal is a platinum certificate for the program.
The global Healthy Campus project, implemented by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), is aimed at promoting the values of physical education and a healthy lifestyle in the student community.
This unique Internet platform allows participants to assess their level and directly exchange experiences in organizing students’ physical activity, proper nutrition, attracting interest in sustainable development and the formation of socially responsible behavior.
The Volga Region University of Sports is at the center of network cooperation of the best universities in the SCO and CIS countries. University students and staff participate in FINA and FISU projects and initiatives. As part of the "Friendship Games" in water sports, a meeting was organized with representatives of foreign swimmers, synchronized swimmers and divers from Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Venezuela, Vietnam, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Syria, Sudan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ecuador, South -African Republic. Foreign students of the university are members of the acrobatic rock and roll team to participate in international competitions.
