Today we said farewell to Artur Khismatullin, a member of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, who died heroically while fulfilling his military duty.

 

Representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, Acting Head of the Sovetsky District of Kazan Andrey Yakovlev, Rector of the Volga Region University Rafis Burganov, colleagues, friends, relatives and friends-in-law came to pay their last respects to the hero....

‘Today we are seeing off a wonderful man, a loving and beloved son, brother, reliable comrade on his last journey. Private Khismatullin fulfilled his military duty with honour. On behalf of the Executive Committee of the city of Kazan, I express my sincerest words of condolence to his honoured family and friends. Today we all mourn the irreparable loss. Eternal memory to the hero!’ said Andrey Yakovlev addressing the audience.

The rector of the Volga Region University of Sport and Tourism also expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the deceased fighter.

‘I would like to thank everyone who came to see Arthur off on his last journey. All the time he was on duty, we tried to keep in touch with him. During his leave, we met and talked, and during his service we kept in touch. The memory of him will remain in our team for a long time - his portrait will be placed in the most present place of the University. Artur was a good son, father, comrade, diligent employee’, - Rafis Burganov noted.

In 2010, Artur Khismatullin graduated from Kazan Automobile Transport College named after A.P. Obydennov with a degree in transport organisation and management. He graduated from Kazan Automobile Transport Technical School named after A.P. Obydennov with a degree in transport organisation and management. He served in the Russian Army.

In 2016, he graduated from Kazan State Agrarian University with a degree in agroengineering.

Since 2011, he has worked at the university as a car driver in the transport department of the department of economic work.

Since October 2022 Arthur Khismatullin served in the zone of special military operation.

Today he was buried in the cemetery ‘Kurgan’, in the Alley of Heroes, under the volleys of the guard of honour ...

He was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation for his courage and heroism.
