Student Ramina Pronina won the title of Miss Volga University in 2021 and became Miss Tatarstan in 2023. At the BRICS summit, which took place in Kazan from 22 to 24 October, Ramina Pronina participated in the ceremonial meeting of foreign delegations. In Tatar national dress, she greeted the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia and Bahrain.
"Thanks to the title of "Miss Tatarstan", I often participate in events held by the government of the republic. The meeting of foreign delegations left a vivid impression - an international event held in my hometown makes me proud of Kazan. I believe that Tatarstan is a place of opportunities," shared Ramina Pronina. "Welcoming guests was not easy - I had to get up early, stand still and hold a chak-chak. Also, during the days of the summit in Kazan, the weather conditions often changed. But these difficulties are not felt when you enjoy your work. I am glad that I was able to participate and present the culture of Tatarstan and Russia to foreign guests."
