Sports universities of Tatarstan and Belarus signed an agreement on the creation of a research laboratory for training athletes on the basis of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. The document on mutual co-operation on a stable and long-term basis was signed by the rectors of the universities Rafis Burganov and Sergey Repkin.
The subject of the agreement is to unite human, organisational and information resources of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture in order to create a research laboratory for scientific, methodological and medical and biological support of athletes' training.
"According to the agreement on co-operation signed earlier, we have already achieved certain set tasks together with our Belarusian colleagues. In a relatively short period of time we have held five joint scientific and practical conferences, two of which were for students and young scientists, teachers of our universities systematically participate in joint scientific and methodological seminars and round tables, carry out joint reviewing of educational publications and scientific articles, publish scientific articles in scientific journals of our universities. Along with the work done, we are preparing a joint application for the Programme of the Union State "Creation of a digital platform of complex diagnostics of sports gifted children on integrated indicators of support interactions and motor-coordination abilities.
This is a great joint work, which will allow us to create a unique digital platform for diagnostics and selection of young athletes, support and correction of the training process, as well as preservation of their health level", - Rafis Burganov noted after the signing ceremony.
