On December 15, the submission of applications for participation in the XII Olympiad of the Volga Region University in physical education among schoolchildren in grades 9-11 began. The application deadline is January 09, 2024.
The Olympics itself will be held from January 10 to January 28, 2024 at the university and will consist of two stages.
At the first, correspondence stage, participants need to answer 30 questions, which will be posted on the website
The second stage program includes test tasks on the theory and methods of physical education and practical tasks on the secondary general education program in the field of physical education (gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, mini-football, athletics, swimming).
The final result will be determined by the sum of points scored in all types of the program.
The history of the Volga Region University Olympics dates back to 2012. The initiator and its permanent organizer is the Department of Theory and Methodology of Athletics and Rowing named after G.V. Tsyganova. And it takes place under the guidance of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Ildar Latypov. The actual conduct of the Olympics is carried out by the best teachers of the sports departments of the Institute of Sports.
Winners and prize-winners of the Olympics, in addition to certificates, diplomas and commemorative medals, receive additional points when entering the Volga Region University for training in the field of physical education and sports.
Winners in the head-to-head round are awarded two points for individual achievement, and prize-winners are awarded one point.
