Bachelor's and college students of the Volga Region University visited two leading IT companies - ICL Services and IT Park. The visits were organized by the Department of Internships and Employment of the Educational Activities Department together with the Department of Information Systems and Phygital Sports, as well as the college of the university.
Young professionals had the opportunity to get to know the activities of leading companies in the IT industry better. During the visit, students learned about in-demand professions in the field of information technology, such as software developers, system administrators, data analysts and many others.
- When we visited IT companies, I was attracted by their internal organization and innovation. The company representatives gave us an educational tour, telling us in detail about each of the departments and working conditions. What interested us most was the opportunity to do an internship, to which we were invited. I want to try my hand at these companies next academic year. I believe that such tours complement the educational process and help to immerse yourself in the field being studied, - Darina Khakimova shared her impressions of the tour.
Representatives of the companies shared their knowledge and experience, talking about the requirements of the modern labor market, as well as the skills and competencies that are valued by employers. Particular attention was paid to the IT Park business incubator, which plays an important role in supporting startups and new IT companies. Students learned about the conditions for aspiring entrepreneurs, mentoring opportunities, and resources available for implementing innovative ideas. They also visited the DATA center, a data storage and processing center, where they learned about modern technologies for storing and processing information.
- Thanks to visiting companies, students were able to deepen their knowledge in the field of information technology. Such events contribute to the practical orientation of training and help students make an informed choice of profession in the future, - noted the head of the department of information systems and phygital sports Olga Lyubyagina.
