Students of the Volga Region University of Sport became participants of the sports and creative festival "Remember, this city is Leningrad, remember, these people are Leningraders" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade during the Great Patriotic War.
The festival was held at the National State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Health named after P.F. Lesgaft in St. Petersburg and was aimed at attracting students' attention to the events of military history and traditional values.
Creative and sports contests were organised for its participants, including representatives of 12 universities, as well as patriotic events such as laying flowers at memorials in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
In addition, athletes took part in a biathlon relay race dedicated to the memory of the partisan detachment of D.F.Kositsyn. Our guys, by the way, became the best in biathlon.
