The amateur volleyball tournament “We know how to be friends!”, organized by the Student Council of the Volga Region University, was held in the gym of the sports university.
Teams of the League of Students of the Republic of Tatarstan, the vice-rector's corps of Kazan universities and teams of chairmen of student councils of universities and secondary specialized institutions gathered to determine the best.
Having played in a round-robin system, when teams play “everyone against everyone”, the team of the pro-rector’s corps celebrated their victory.
The second and third places were shared between the teams of chairmen of student councils of universities and colleges - they ended up with the same number of points.
As Lenar Galiev, the chairman of the Student Council of Volga University, pointed out, it is not the first time this tournament has been organised.
‘This is the second time we organise it. After the first one we received a lot of positive feedback, so we decided to make it traditional,’ says Lenar Galiev. - The tournament is held in a friendly atmosphere, the competitive moment plays a secondary role. I hope that this time all the participants also liked the atmosphere and we will continue such co-operation. After all, sport brings people together and strengthens friendships.’
‘Such meetings help students and teachers to establish communication, including with the activists of Student Councils and the Students' League, - says Chulpan Galieva - head of the department of social and educational work of Volga Region University. - Besides, it helps to introduce the guys to the true values of our life - friendship, mutual assistance, justice’.
