Today, the Center for the Development of Human Resources in the Tourism Industry of Tatarstan launched the training of the second stream of students.
Teams from the Kaluga, Kursk regions and the Republic of Dagestan came to Kazan to take professional retraining courses under the program “Management of the development of tourist territories: a project approach” on the basis of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Human Resources Center was created as part of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry,” initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In 2023, representatives of three regions of the Russian Federation (Samara Region, Republic of Tatarstan, Republic of Bashkortostan) completed training.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Dmitry Vakhrukov addressed the participants via video conferencing with a welcoming speech.
“The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin set us the task of developing domestic and inbound tourism. In order to solve it, we certainly need the strength of regional teams and industry leaders so that the business has enough competencies necessary to create and implement high-quality tourism projects that allow increasing the number of rooms, creating new points of attraction, attracting new tourist flows and making it's all in balance with high quality and high performance. It is important that within the framework of this program, participants will be able to get to know each other closely, exchange experiences, look at the projects that are being implemented in the regions, so that upon completion of training they can formulate new proposals and projects, correctly determine the market niche and learn to look at tourism not only from the point of view in terms of attracting guests, but also from the point of view of financial and economic models for the development of business and territories,” noted the Deputy Minister.
The audience was addressed by Adviser Rais of Tatarstan, a Russian statesman and political figure who previously worked for a long time as mayor of Kazan, Kamil Iskhakov, rector of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, Doctor of Economics Rafis Burganov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism Sergei Ivanov.
