The Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism was visited by the chief adviser of the Tatarstan Raisa's Office on anti-corruption policy issues, Yuri Kornilov.

- I came to the Volga Region University to get acquainted with the university's activities in educating students in the field of anti-corruption policy. The experience that was presented to me here was very useful. We have an initiative to unite all universities of the Republic of Tatarstan into a single body for the implementation of anti-corruption policy, so that we can raise worthy youth. These words may seem loud, but we will not have a future until we properly educate the youth. Anti-corruption education should begin at school. Students are adults with their own views on life, so I would like to strengthen their correct perception of the world, attitude to career, state, people, - emphasized the purpose of his visit Yuri Kornilov.

As part of his visit to the university, he talked to the activists of the Student Anti-Corruption Commission. The association was established by the Student Council in November 2024. The head of the Student Anti-Corruption Commission Chulpan Galliamova told Yuri Kornilov about the results of the association's activities.

- We have an action plan for the whole academic year. In the first semester, university students took part in the All-Russian Youth Civil Forum “Don't Give - Don't Take”. We also held a competition of student posters dedicated to anti-corruption policy and filmed educational videos. In the dormitory, activists organized a quiz on students' knowledge of corruption: terms, laws, and history. We plan to organize a big quiz for the whole university,” Chulpan Galliamova said.

The head of the Student Anti-Corruption Commission noted that during the conversation with Yuri Kornilov they came to the decision that the problem of corruption should be made more public. It is also important to interact with students and show them that everything is transparent and open at Volga Region University. Students should know that if they face a problem of bribery, they have a place to turn for help.

Yuri Kornilov also emphasized that it is important to remember the importance of anti-corruption policy not only in December - the International Anti-Corruption Day, but all year round. Having discussed the events held, the Student Anti-Corruption Commission outlined plans for cooperation with the Tatarstan Raisa Department on anti-corruption policy.
