The Victory Day celebration in the capital of Tatarstan was traditionally bright and reverent. Volga Region University could not stand aside: the university staff, professors and students took part in several events at once.
Beginning in May 2, everyone shared commemorative photos and stories of their family heroes in the online format of the "Immortal Regiment" campaign.
Then, in anticipation of the holiday, university students, together with activists of children's and youth public organizations of Tatarstan, participated in a solemn meeting of veterans of the Great Patriotic War and veterans of combat operations on the square in front of the Musa Dzhalil Tatar Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
On May 8, near the sports complex "Burevestnik" a field kitchen was organized, where everyone could taste the soldiers' porridge, and on Victory Day in the Millennium Square on the stage during the solemn concert 65 students of the university among the members of the choir "Singing Kazan" came out and finished the main holiday of the country with the song "Victory Day".
