The humanitarian aid centre of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism sent regular aid to servicemen and mobilized citizens.
The centre collected food, hygiene products, clothes and linen, uniforms and medicines from the university staff, students and city residents.
Chulpan Galiyeva, head of the Social and Educational Work Department, said the number of those wishing to join the action and make their contribution to the big cause is growing.
"The centre is open every weekday for anyone who wants to donate basic necessities to Russian servicemen working in the zone of a special military operation. We are talking about personal hygiene products, instant food, towels and other essential items according to an approved list. The collection of aid at the university began in March this year. Since then, several vehicles with humanitarian cargo have already been dispatched - for refugees from the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics and for Russian Federation soldiers currently serving their duty. The number of volunteers has increased. The Headquarters has expanded its activities: there is psychological assistance for citizens experiencing anxiety, and a Situation Centre for issues related to partial mobilisation has been set up", said Chulpan Galiyeva.
We remind, the humanitarian aid centre is open from 9am to 6pm on weekdays.
The address of the humanitarian aid centre is located at 35 Universiade Village St. (entrance from the side of the reception hall), 1st floor, Volunteer Centre.
