The new academic year at the Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism will begin with innovations, because already on September 1, the first of its kind in Kazan Complex Sports School of federal subordination, created on the basis of university facilities, opens.
The comprehensive school will allow children from Kazan and Tatarstan to play sports in fundamentally new conditions, tracking their widespread development. The children will be able to choose one of 10 sports areas that they will like: acrobatic rock and roll, badminton, curling, table tennis, swimming, sports acrobatics, gymnastics, figure skating, football and hockey.
The best sports facilities of the Volga Region University will be the venue for classes: the Rowing Sports Center, the Zilant Ice Palace, the Tennis Academy, the Gymnastics Center, the Aquatics Palace and the Badminton Center.
Realizing that the results of a young athlete largely depend on the correct approach to his training at the initial stage, the professional staff of the departments of the Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism has developed an innovative training program within the framework of youth sports.
The content of the program focused not only on the specialization chosen by the child, but also on actual exercises in gymnastics and athletics. This ensures the harmonious development of the athlete's body and the formation of the motor base for most of the sports areas.
One of the unique features of a Comprehensive sports school will also be the medical and biological support of the entire training process. We are talking about a comprehensive examination of the functional state of the body of a young athlete at the Research Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of the Volga Region University.
As a result of a comprehensive examination, parents will be able to receive detailed protocols on the state of health, physical performance, psychological and psychophysiological resources of their child, as well as get advice from a sports doctor about the child's predisposition to the chosen sport.
