On February 7, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the winners of the contest "The Best Young Scientist of the Republic of Tatarstan-2021" at the Kazan Institute of Physics and Technology named after E. K. Zavoysky KazNC RAS. The post-graduate student of the Volga State University of Sports and Tourism Adela Abdrakhmanova also took part in the meeting.
The meeting was timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Science, which is celebrated on February 8. Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the young scientists on the holiday: "I am glad to meet you. We all understand that without science, our country will not be able to be so advanced. We have very promising young scientists. Today I was told about new research. I already see applied things that will be implemented based on them in the near future. In general, we have big plans for the further development of science," he stressed.
Adela Abdrakhmanova, as we have already reported, became the winner of the competition in the nomination in the nomination "The best graduate student in the field of socio-humanitarian sciences". At our request, she shared with us her impressions of participating in the contest and meeting with the head of the republic.
- The project that I presented in the full-time stage of the competition is based on the materials of my dissertation work on the impact of cognitive load on the physical capabilities of athletes. As you know, different applied directions can be distinguished from any dissertation. So my project involves the introduction of the data obtained during the experiments into the educational activities of student athletes. Investigating the question of whether educational activity affects the physical parameters of an athlete in the competitive and pre-competitive period, we will give recommendations depending on the time of physical activity.
However, according to Adela, at the meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov, it was not so much about specific projects as about the development of science in the republic as a whole. And, in particular, about the impact that young scientists can have on these processes. Abdrakhmanova took an active part in the discussion:
- Yulia Kareeva, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Movement of Young Scientists and Specialists of Tatarstan, presented a program for the development and support of this direction during the meeting. And as a follow-up to the conversation, I suggested that during the implementation of the program, special attention should be paid to creating a system within which students would interact as tutors with schoolchildren who are interested in science. Such connections would provide some continuity…
Participation in the competition, Adela admitted, significantly expanded her understanding of the diversity of research areas in Tatarstan:
- The competition brought together representatives of various scientific schools, I saw that next to me in the universities of the republic and the city, many of my colleagues are enthusiastically working on solving problems in various fields. Such meetings and communication allow you to see the full breadth of opportunities, possibly to find potential partners in research. In fact, a lot of interesting events are taking place within the framework of the movement of young scientists of the Republic of Tatarstan, and I really want this process to continue and develop. So that together we search, find and achieve solutions to the problems that young researchers face. I am a first-year graduate student – my professional path in science has just begun, but I have already managed to understand that there are a lot of problems. For example, the fact that graduate students have to work very hard, and there is very little time left for science. I hope that these problems will be solved.
