Leonid Savosin, a senior lecturer at the Department of Theory and Methodology of Skiing at the Volga Region University of Sports, as well as the head of the Expert council of cross-country Skiing of the Republic of Tatarstan, shared his expectations with the correspondent of the Tatar-inform news agency from the performance of Tatarstan skier Christina Matsokina at the Olympics in the sprint.

"Hristina Matsokina is wonderful, sociable, friendly, but in sports she is a fighter! She is 23 years old and is quite capable of fighting for leadership positions in terms of results. But in sprinters' competitions, the experience of fighting at a distance is very important, so age athletes have a certain advantage. Christina still needs to be added to the sports anger," said the head of the expert council of ski racing RT to the sports editorial office of IA "Tatar-inform".

Recall that the qualification of the women's ski sprint in Beijing starts today at 11:00. Four Russian athletes will take part in the race: Natalia Nepryaeva, Yulia Stupak, Veronika Stepanova and Christina Matsokina, who is one of the nine representatives of Tatarstan at the Beijing Olympics.
