In the days when most sports tournaments are suspended due to the coronavirus epidemic, chess players have not been left without practice conducting online competitions. The winner of one of them-held on the site Chess.com the Abu Dhabi Super Blitz Challenge with a prize Fund of 10,000 dollars, with the participation of the world's strongest chess players, was won by Vladislav Artemyev, a student of the Volga Academy.
A total of 1,100 chess players took part in the tournament. Based on the results of 11 rounds played using the Swiss system, the eight playoff participants were determined: grandmasters Jan Nepomnyashchy, Peter Svidler, Daniil Dubov, Vladislav Artemyev (all - Russia), Alexander Bortnik (Ukraine), Nihal sarin (India), Parham Magsudlu (Iran) and FIDE master Artur Avalyan (Russia).
