Today, an installation session has started for coaches and instructors of the Nizhny Novgorod region within the framework of the Federal project "Sport is the norm of life". Distance learning in self-isolation mode for specialists in the region's industry is organized By the center for additional education of the Volga region Academy of sports. Professional training for 190 students is conducted in two educational programs: "Sports training by type of sport (group of sports)" and "Sports and recreation and mass sports work with the population".
"This is the third stream of students from the Volga Federal district who started retraining as part of a Federal project in 2020," comments the center's Director Elvira Rumyantseva. - Our University is responsible for training specialists from 9 regions of the Volga region, with which we work closely. Despite the current situation, we comply with the previously established training schedule. Training modules of educational programs and guidelines have been developed by the teaching staff of the Academy, and remote services of the educational platform Teachbase, which we have been using for several years, allow us to work with students remotely, not only in the format of obtaining knowledge, but also their control. The use of remote technologies for the implementation of educational programs and receiving constant feedback from the course teachers was originally intended. This is convenient for both students and teachers, in addition, it significantly saves the cost of moving. But life has made its own adjustments, and now this form of communication has turned from a reserve to the main one."
The first stream of 145 students, including tatarstanev, completed the installation session on the basis of the Volga Academy in Kazan in person in February. Last week, a second stream of 42 students started learning the program remotely. For them, practical classes are postponed for the duration of the final, face-to-face session.
Today, the entire educational process of the University, including students, is switched to online mode. Therefore, teachers use a wide range of information resources and actively train themselves to work with various services and cloud technologies, taking into account the specifics of the physical education University.
"Education remotely does not mean that it is completely independent," explains Elvira Rumyantseva. - Classes are held strictly according to the schedule and we note the increased activity of course participants when reading the materials. They comment, ask questions, and consult with teachers. Given the fact that all our students are forced to stay at home today, live communication with the teacher is very valuable for them. This has a positive impact on the quality of training."
In total, by the end of 2020, the center for additional education of the Volga sports Academy will train 480 industry specialists. None of them doubts that sport will remain the norm for millions of Russians.
