The ceremony of awarding the winners of the competition of professional skills among employees of the enterprises of tourism, restaurant and hotel industry "Stars of hospitality"was held in the hall of columns of the Kazan city hall.
Among 130 participants of the fourth contest winners were determined in nine categories. In addition to theoretical knowledge, waiters, bartenders, receptionists and managers of the toursphere demonstrated their practical skills to the jury. A contest of professional skills was evaluated by 39 representatives of hotels, restaurants, travel agencies of Kazan, as well as experts of specialized universities, among them two teachers of the Department of service and tourism of the Volga region Academy - Maria and Julia Visloguzova Hibatullah.  
"The Academy is not only involved in the contest, but is his partner, says Maria Visloguzova. – The second year of the competitive procedures held at the Academy, and the teachers of our Department are members of the jury of the "Stars of hospitality". The competition helps to unlock the potential of novice industry workers. This is important because the impression of tourists from the city depends on their experience and professionalism."
This year the second place among managers on entrance and internal tourism was won by the student of faculty of service and tourism Artem Gartsev. "The competition was a great starting point for me, — shared the winner of the first professional award. — I had to develop a tourist product in two hours. Another task was to solve the case with a problem situation. The jury assessed our reaction to the incident in compliance with all the rules and rights of the visitor. The competition helped me to deepen my professional knowledge and make new interesting acquaintances."
The mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin at the end of the contest "Stars of hospitality" was awarded diplomas of the student and teachers of Volga region Academy of sport and tourism, and the rector Yusup Yakubov presented a letter of appreciation.
