In Moscow, in the pool "Olympic", ended the Russian swimming championship, the winners of which were 14 "academicians". The championship results of students Alexander Krasnykh and Anna Egorova allowed them to win tickets to the world Cup in Gwangju (South Korea), and the three winners of their swims - Nikita Korolev, Grigory Tarasevich and Ernest Maksumov – will go to the XXX world Universiade in Italian Naples.
12 students and undergraduates of the Academy represented Tatarstan. Anna Egorova played in the parallel competition for the KHMAO-Yugra and Kaliningrad region, and Adelaide Pchelintseva represented the national team of Kazakhstan. On account of Anna Yegorova championship title on the course 800m free style and two silver medals in the 200 and 400-metrovke. Adelaide Pchelintseva at the championship of Russia recorded two records of the Republic of Kazakhstan at a distance of 50 meters breaststroke.
Thanks to, among other things, "academicians" Tatarstan became the fourth in the team standings of Russian regions. On account of Tatarstan 16 medals (3 gold, 4 silver, 9 bronze).  Swimmers of the Volga region Academy of sports return to Kazan with 14 awards (1 gold, 3 silver and 10 bronze), including those won in relay races. 
Alexander Red has collected medals of all colours, winning competitions in the 400m freestyle and won bronze in the 200-Petrovka freestyle.  Together with Ernest Maksumov and Grigory Tarasevich he took part in the "silver" final in the 4x200 relay. Ernest Maksumov in addition to the relay "silver" recorded itself in the asset "bronze" at a distance of 1.5 km. On account of Grigory Tarasevich 5 medals: silver, won in the relay 4x200 and 4 bronze: 50, 100 200 meters on the back and the combined relay 4x100. Nikita Korolev at the end of the national championship two relay bronze 4X100 combined and freestyle. Together with the Queen of the national team helped to enter the winners in the mixed relay 4x100 Alexei Merzlyakov, Dmitry Zelensky Olesya Korchagina and Daria Golovina.
Winning medals for Tatarstan, "academicians" updated national records. Alexander Krasnykh, Grigory Tarasevich and Ernest Maksumov set a new bar for swimmers of the Republic in the 4x200 freestyle relay. Maksumov set a new record of Tatarstan at a distance of 1.5 kilometers, and the Red – at 400 meters. Updated and record of the Republic in the relay 4X100 meters. Olesya Korchagina added to this team achievement and personal: a new record at a distance of 50 meters butterfly. It is the result and the report of Alexey Merzlyakov noted especially the head coach of Volga Academy swim Maxim Delovski:
- Olesya got to the finals of the Russian championship for the first time, took 6th place, Alexey was also close to getting to the Universiade. This is the result of our internal work at the Academy. We are very happy and proud for them. But we continue to strive for more. We will consider our task accomplished when we bring the Olympic gold to the Academy. In this regard, I would like to note that Grigory Tarasevich has been competing for the third season in the conditions of fierce competition with the Champions of the world and Europe (Evgeny Rylov and Clement Kolesnikov, approx. auth.) In such difficult conditions, showing the results of the top 5 of the world ranking and being close to getting to the world Cup, this time he was the third and will represent the Academy at the Universiade in Naples. Nikita Korolev after a series of injuries, I hope, will wrap itself and realize its rich potential. Ernest Maksumov is still driven by the goal of getting to the Olympics. I am sure that this desire will help him to show excellent results and realize his dream next season. 
The coach and athletes received letters of thanks from the Minister of sports of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov. And Vice-rector for administrative work and social development of the Volga region Academy Ilshat Fayzullin, who was present at the meeting, stressed that the work is carried out by the University and the sports Department together. "In the Volga region Academy, where the Department of water sports, now trained about 130 swimmers. Student sport is developing because there are conditions for combining study with sports. Not coincidentally, most members of the national team of the Republic – the University students. We are happy for the high sports results and are ready to produce specialists who can support the population's interest in swimming and provide the developing infrastructure."
