"Peaceful revolution" happened in the trade Union of the Volga Academy. The organization changed its leader again. In place of Alik Salimov, who headed the trade Union Committee for almost a year, and now elected head of the Department of socio-economic and humanitarian disciplines, came his young colleague – danir islyamov. Further work on the development of the Union teachers decided to work together. As a true lawyer, danir islyamov, among the priorities identified the protection of the rights and freedoms of employees of the Academy. The newly elected head plans to expand the influence of the trade Union movement in the University by creating a friendly working atmosphere and holding collective events aimed at strengthening the corporate spirit of employees. But also to refuse "old methods" on the organization of sanatorium rest of members of labor Union on the eve of summer, of course, isn't going. Especially since last year's experience of his predecessor was successful. A trip to the Crimea on preferential trade Union permits went a half dozen Union members. Summing up, associate Professor, candidate of historical Sciences Alik Salimov, commented on his vision of the situation:
- Trade Union in the West have always been influential defenders of workers ' interests, the situation in our country is different. At the beginning of the XX century in Russia there were no elementary social guarantees: holidays, including maternity, pensions. After 1905, workers ' unions appeared, in Soviet times they became "pocket", although they were very rich, because they joined them all. There are many different unions now. The most influential organization in Tatarstan – the Federation of trade unions, which includes our reskom culture workers... Why? There is a spiritual culture, there is a physical one. So we're in our own way. Now the trade Union of the Academy consists of more than 200 people, 20 of them joined its ranks with me. But it's still a little bit for our big team. It is necessary that the primary trade Union organizations appeared at all facilities of the Academy, people understand their benefits from joining the trade Union organization.
There can be no ideal society. To create a balance of interests in the organization, you need a Union acting on behalf of workers. Otherwise, the balance will be disturbed, the negative must find a reasonable way out. The rector is well aware of the need for such a "counterweight" and is always ready to listen, to study any issue.
The collective agreement in force at the Academy regulates a lot. This and the provision on remuneration, incentive payments, on compliance of workplaces with hygiene requirements... There is, for example, a point according to which an employee is entitled to three days off in the event of a wedding or funeral. Many people just do not know about it. The trade Union should conduct, among other things, educational work. Through the trade Union staff can learn about the opportunities for recreation. Including cultural. If there are cheap or free tickets for a concert or performance, people can get them through us. This also works on the popularity of the organization. In accession, the key becomes trust. The membership fee is 1% of the salary. But while we are few, we can afford except that from March 8 to congratulate women, but if the Union will join 1000 people! And the Union will then be strong, able to provide serious financial assistance to those who need it, to organize the rest of its members.
In Soviet times, all sports tournaments were held in organizations under the auspices of trade unions, actively worked with health resorts of different levels, trips to excursions were paid. Despite the fact that times have changed, ultimately, the organization's trade Union is responsible for the formation of the collective, the civil position of workers. We are able to make the life of the Academy staff interesting.
