The teams of the two capitals met last weekend in Kazan, at the site of the sports complex "Burevestnik". "Academy-Kazan" hosted one of the leaders of the Major League "A" Moscow MSTU.
The first game ended with an almost weak-willed loss of the home team (13:25). In the second party citizens of Kazan as if have changed – they fought for every ball and in the end managed to show character, winning (27:25).  Guests tried to change something in the game, but in fact only caught up with the gaining momentum train "academics", which in the third and fourth parties finally went to the gap – 25:21 and 25:19. The final 3:1 in favor of the Kazan team.
The second match turned out to be something similar to the first game – the guests won again in the first game (22:25), but this is the only thing they managed to do. The second and third game again was for "academics", but the passion this time was higher – 25:22, 30:28. Beginning in the fourth instalment promised that the site will unfold "battle". The guests were clearly determined to revenge. However, not being able to achieve an advantage in the score, closer to the middle of the set lost interest in the game (25:18).
Maxim Maximov, head coach of VC "Academy-Kazan»:
- On the first day the opponents let us play our game. Thanks to the fact that we were able to withstand the reception, we did what we wanted, played our volleyball. On the second day they slightly changed tactics, changed the passers, increased the flow and it was more difficult for us.  But our main task was to cope with the diagonal, and we did it. Today they tried to surprise, but I think we surprised them more.  We also got other players. We were given the opportunity to play the guys from the core team of "Zenit" Somachicago, Alekno and Konanova. There they received little game practice, so they were sent to us, which we, of course, were only happy. They helped a lot.
The nearest matches of "Academy-Kazan" will be held on April 13-14. On the platform of "academics" will play with "Oil" from Orenburg.
