Freshman Vladislav Veselov at the last winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk won the gold medal in the Russian national team in hockey. For the pupil of sports school "Rocket", the midfielder of Kazan" Dynamo " this tournament and a victory in it, today, perhaps, the brightest episode in sports career. All the season-2018/19 issued for the Veselova rich in events: in the summer, he enrolled in the Volga region Academy, turning from just player the Dynamo "youth" in a potential candidate in the student national team of Russia. This was followed by a call to the national team and debut in the main "Dynamo". After returning from Krasnoyarsk and sleep, he first went to the Academy to catch up on their studies. And during the break between the pairs he answered some of our questions.  
- Vladislav, what are your impressions of the Universiade?
- Top notch! I was impressed by the scale of the event, a huge number of young athletes from all over the world. And all live in the same village, eat in one dining room... to be Honest, we didn't do a lot of what I saw in Krasnoyarsk. Took all the time game, training. I also attended the closing ceremony. That's cool. But they say the discovery was even better!
- Was the invitation to the national team unexpected for you?
- Yeah. I wasn't on the extended list. But then I was told: "Go to Moscow for an in-depth medical examination."
- Coach, Ilyas Handai – your mentor "Dynamo". Did that help?
- I was no different from other players. No discounts for Ilyas I. (Handai approx. auth.) not do. All were in the same conditions.
- But at least he knows you from work at Dynamo.
"I wouldn't say he knows that well. He works in Kazan for the first year, and "Dynamo" headed in the middle of the season. And I for the first team played only three matches. Basically played for the "youth". I played a lot of matches there.
- Where will you play after the Universiade, do you know?
 No, not yet. While I rest. The first days slept. Now I study hard. I entered the Academy with a specific purpose: I want to work as a coach in hockey.
- Is the level of hockey at the Universiade high?
- High. And it's not just about leaders. Each team in the tournament was dangerous in its own way. I cannot assess their technical and tactical training. But the competition with teams concentrated in the fact that all fought on the ice. There was a very tough hockey.
 Especially militant were the Swedes.
- Well, we had a cabin with them. I think they deliberately chose this tactic, with force pressure, they wanted to intimidate us. We tried to play fast hockey, pass, but of course, when there were certain situations, we did not allow ourselves to be offended.
- Did you know someone in the team before the challenge?
- No, I've never met anyone before. But I didn't feel uncomfortable about it. The atmosphere in the team was excellent, as was gathered, immediately became one.
- What did the Universiade give you?
- To be honest, I still haven't realized that I became a champion. Can't believe it. Although, when my friends came to the airport to meet me, it was festive and pleasant. And parents, of course, rejoiced, and very much worried for me during University games.
